I understand the urgency of keeping our neighborhoods safe—because I’ve lived the alternative. Growing up, I didn’t have the luxury of walking outside at night without constantly looking over my shoulder. No one should live in fear like that.
As your City Council representative, I carry that lived experience with me in every decision I make. You have my unwavering commitment: everyone in Centennial deserves to feel safe, in every part of our city, at every hour of the day.
Here's how we can work to build an even stronger Centennial:
Centennial has already earned recognition for its public safety. A report from 24/7 Wall Street named us the safest city in Colorado and the 43rd safest in the country, based on FBI's Uniform Crime Report. That kind of achievement doesn’t happen by accident—it’s the result of clear priorities and hard work.
But safety isn’t a given, it's a commitment. We know we can't take it for granted. It’s something we have to actively protect and improve. That’s why I support Councilwoman Marlo Alston’s co-patrolling initiative, and why I believe we should renew our partnership with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office. Our success is rooted in collaboration, and we can’t afford to lose momentum.
Safety doesn’t mean over-policing. It means creating neighborhoods where families feel peace of mind, where kids can ride their bikes to school, and where all of our residents feel respected and secure.
I’ve seen firsthand what happens when we refuse to settle for the status quo, when we rally together, and when we lead with vision, heart, and action. Through smart policy and a commitment to listening to the community, I will fight to make sure Centennial continues to be a city that leads with vision—not fear.
We all want the same things: affordable homes, safe neighborhoods, thriving businesses and transparency in leadership. It’s about ensuring Centennial’s legacy continues to be one of opportunity, stability, and growth. These are achievable goals, and I’m committed to turning them into reality for everyone in District 4 and beyond.
