Centennial’s success depends on its businesses—and businesses thrive when they have strong leadership, meaningful connections, and the unwavering support of their community. With 38 years of experience in business development, management, and ownership, I know firsthand how to create opportunities, foster growth, and build partnerships that benefit both entrepreneurs and the residents who power our economy.
As your City Council representative, I will work side by side with business owners, industry leaders, and residents to ensure that Centennial remains a premier destination for businesses to start, expand, and succeed. Through collaboration, strategic networking, and inclusive policies, we can create an environment that help our existing businesses thrive and attracts new businesses to Centennial.
Here's how we can work to build an even stronger Centennial:
As an Ambassador of the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, I actively engage with local businesses, learning about their challenges and future goals. I will champion city-sponsored programs like SPARK Centennial roundtable events, ensuring that small business owners and entrepreneurs have access to the connections and expert guidance they need to succeed. I will continue to be accessible and responsive, making sure that Centennial’s business community has a voice in shaping policies that support long-term growth and stability.
Centennial’s Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) program is a crucial tool for helping businesses grow. I will ensure companies can access the resources, funding, and partnerships they need to flourish. I will facilitate introductions between local businesses, property representatives, and industry leaders, creating new opportunities for development and investment. The Centennial Small Business Loan Fund provides affordable financing options for businesses struggling to secure traditional bank loans—I will work to expand access to these critical funds and help businesses navigate financial support options. A thriving Centennial economy means supporting not just businesses, but the workers who drive them—I will advocate for workforce development programs, training initiatives, and local hiring incentives to strengthen our city’s economic foundation.
Small businesses face unique challenges, and I will push for clearer, simplier regulations that reduce unnecessary barriers to success. I support policies that allow business owners to learn and adapt to new regulations through educational outreach and written warnings for first-time, minor infractions. I will explore collaborations with nearby cities, like Aurora’s “Red Tape Reduction” initiative, to streamline processes and support Centennial’s businesses without excessive bureaucracy.
The Midtown Centennial project represents our city’s future—one that includes expanded housing options, enhanced business opportunities, inviting public spaces, and accessible transportation solutions. I will ensure this vision supports businesses while enriching Centennial’s neighborhoods. Centennial’s prime location is a gateway for new business opportunities. By highlighting our strengths, I will help attract new industries and innovative startups to our city. I will build partnerships, working with the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade in an innovative way to bring grants, funding, and growth opportunities to local businesses.
Businesses don’t succeed in isolation—they thrive because of strong networks, supportive residents, and smart leadership. By combining my experience in business development, strategic networking, and economic planning with the voices of Centennial’s business owners, workers, and residents, we can create a business-friendly city that thrives together.
I am committed to making Centennial a hub for business growth, innovation, and opportunity—and together, we can shape a city that uplifts entrepreneurs, strengthens our economy, and creates new pathways for success!
