I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, where my mother, Dorothy Middleton Fields, instilled in me the value of hard work and education despite our modest beginnings. Being the fifth of six children taught me early on the importance of community and sacrifice. Guided by her dedication, I earned an appointment to West Point, where I embraced the principles of leadership, teamwork, duty, honor, and discipline—values that continue to shape my life today.
I received my Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois, where I also met my wife, and in 1999, we made Centennial our home. Here, I have raised our children Marcus and Jasmine with a strong focus on education, taking pride in being part of one of the finest school districts in the nation. Alongside my family, I've launched three businesses in: information technology, property management, and sports entertainment with the Colorado Kings - each reflecting my passion for innovation and local growth.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I’ve dedicated myself to community service—whether volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club, leading anti-bullying programs, mentoring at detention centers, or serving on various boards. I've served as a Deacon at EHCC, as well as a Stephen's Minister, in the youth band, Kids Hope Mentor, and on the Board of Directors of Kappa Alpha Psi Scholarship Foundation. My commitment to volunteer work is fueled by the same values that guided me from my earliest days.
l am, sadly, a lifelong Chicago sports fan, so I understand the joys and challenges of being a passionate supporter in good and bad times. When I’m not working or volunteering, you can find me boating, biking, or enjoying various sports.
I am ready to bring my leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and deep commitment to service to represent District 4 in Centennial, CO.
